Job Function

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across hedge fund, private credit, and real estate vehicles, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and control.
  • Manage and mentor a team across trade operations, portfolio accounting, and fund operations.
  • Drive operational strategy, process improvement, and automation initiatives to support firm growth.
  • Supervise the full lifecycle of investments, including trade capture, settlements, cash management, reconciliations, and lifecycle events.
  • Oversee complex credit instruments including bank loans, structured credit (CLOs/ABS), private debt, and real assets.
  • Ensure proper controls around valuation, pricing, and P&L reporting.
  • Oversee NAV production in partnership with fund administrators across multiple vehicle structures.
  • Review and validate investor reporting, capital calls, distributions, and fund-level financials.
  • Support new fund launches, including operational buildout and onboarding of service providers.
  • Serve as primary liaison with fund administrators, prime brokers, custodians, and auditors.
  • Partner closely with Investment, Finance/Accounting, Compliance, and Technology teams.
  • Manage service provider performance and oversee SLAs and escalations.
  • Establish and maintain a robust operational risk and control framework.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and support regulatory and audit processes.
  • Lead initiatives around data governance, transparency, and reporting accuracy.
  • Champion system enhancements and integrations across OMS, accounting systems (e.g., Geneva), and data platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scalability through automation and workflow optimization.
  • Partner with technology teams on strategic data and reporting initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive alternative operations experience with proven leadership skills.
  • BS degree or advanced degree from an accredited university; strong academics.
  • Experience in a multi-strategy or scaled platform environment ($10B AUM).
  • Familiarity with structured credit (CLOs), private credit, and real assets.
  • Track record of leading operational buildouts or platform scaling initiatives.
  • Exposure to data and process automation tools.
