Director of Operations | Multi Unit Restaurant Operations

A well-established and expanding restaurant organization is looking for an experienced Director of Operations to oversee a large portfolio of restaurant locations across multiple nationally recognized brands.

This opportunity is ideal for a proven operations executive who has successfully led large multi-unit teams, driven financial performance, and developed strong field leadership within a fast-paced restaurant environment.

What You’ll Lead

You will provide strategic and operational leadership across more than 50 restaurant locations while partnering closely with Regional Directors, Area Managers, and General Managers to drive consistent execution and long-term growth.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Lead daily operations across multiple restaurant concepts and markets
• Coach and develop Regional Directors, Area Managers, and General Managers
• Improve sales, profitability, labor performance, food cost, and guest experience
• Analyze financial performance and use P&L data to drive operational improvements
• Build accountability through consistent standards, reporting, and performance management
• Strengthen recruiting, leadership development, succession planning, and team engagement
• Ensure operational excellence, food safety, and compliance across all locations
• Partner with Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Facilities, IT, and Construction teams
• Support restaurant openings, acquisitions, and continued market expansion
• Maintain a strong presence in the field through regular restaurant visits

What We’re Looking For

• 10 or more years of restaurant operations leadership
• Minimum of 5 years leading large multi-unit restaurant operations
• Experience overseeing 50 or more restaurant locations
• Background managing multiple restaurant brands is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of restaurant financials including P&L management, labor, food cost, budgeting, and key operational metrics
• Demonstrated success improving operational performance across multiple locations
• Experience building, coaching, and developing high-performing operations leaders
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout California

Preferred Background

We welcome leaders with experience from large quick service, fast casual, franchise, or multi concept restaurant organizations. Experience with brands such as Wingstop, Jamba, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Papa Johns, Jersey Mike’s , or similar multi unit restaurant systems is highly valued.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys balancing strategic leadership with hands on operational support and thrives in a growing organization.
