A sophisticated single-family office is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead the operational infrastructure across its family office, investment fund, trust structure, and affiliated entities.

Operating with the rigor and discipline of an institutional investment organization while maintaining the flexibility and entrepreneurial mindset of a private enterprise, the family office is seeking a Director of Operations who will play a central role in building and maintaining best-in-class operational infrastructure across the organization.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Operations will serve as a strategic partner responsible for overseeing the firm's operational functions, including human resources, information technology, administrative operations, vendor management, and organizational development. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position requiring someone equally comfortable developing long-term operational strategy while executing day-to-day priorities, building scalable processes, and driving continuous improvement across a dynamic family office environment.
The ideal candidate brings exceptional operational leadership experience, strong business judgment, and a proven ability to build infrastructure within complex, high-trust organizations. Experience leading cross-functional operations within a family office, private investment firm, wealth management organization, or similarly sophisticated environment is highly preferred. The successful candidate is proactive, emotionally intelligent, and resourceful, with the confidence to make informed decisions independently, roll up their sleeves when needed, and foster a collaborative, welcoming culture built on trust, accountability, and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Organizational Development
- Partner with the CEO to strengthen organizational culture, values, communication, and employee engagement
- Help lead organizational planning, team meetings, and professional development initiatives
- Foster collaboration across departments while promoting accountability and continuous improvement
- Lead with humility, professionalism, and sound judgment, serving as a trusted leader across all levels of the organization
- Operate with a high degree of ownership, making informed decisions independently while appropriately escalating strategic matters
Operations & Organizational Management
- Lead all back-office operations, including office administration, vendor management, facilities, and administrative infrastructure
- Design, implement, and continuously improve operational processes, policies, and workflows that support investment, accounting, and family office activities
- Build scalable operational infrastructure that enhances efficiency while maintaining the flexibility required in a dynamic family office environment
- Manage operating budgets for administrative, technology, and operational functions
- Develop, document, and maintain operational policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies while maintaining exceptional service standards
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO on organizational priorities, operational planning, and long-term infrastructure development
Human Capital & Employee Experience
- Oversee the outsourced human resources partner responsible for recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and offboarding
- Partner with leadership to develop talent strategies that support long-term organizational growth, succession planning, and employee retention
- Collaborate with outsourced HR partners and General Counsel to maintain employee handbooks, policies, compliance, and benefit programs
- Foster a welcoming, collaborative, and high-performing workplace culture where employees feel supported, respected, and empowered
- Support professional development initiatives, leadership development, and employee engagement programs
Information Technology & Business Systems
- Manage the outsourced IT provider responsible for infrastructure, cybersecurity, software platforms, and technology support
- Ensure appropriate cybersecurity controls, data protection standards, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity procedures are maintained
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions that improve operational effectiveness, collaboration, and information securityOversee the third-party administrating of core business systems, including Microsoft 365, secure document management platforms, accounting systems, and other operational technologies
- Coordinate technology vendors and system implementations to ensure seamless support across the organization
Family Office Operations
- Manage relationships with key third-party vendors and professional service providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and accountability
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across accounting and investments to promote organizational alignment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 7+ years of progressive operations leadership experience within a family office, private investment firm, wealth management organization, professional services firm, or similarly sophisticated, high-trust environment
- Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple operational functions, including human resources, technology, vendor management, and administration
- Proven success building operational processes, implementing organizational improvements, and managing cross-functional initiatives
- Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing operational budgets
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience overseeing outsourced service providers and managing complex vendor relationships
- Experience supporting executive leadership within a lean, entrepreneurial organization
Job Type: Full Time, On-Site; office located in Las Vegas, NV
Compensation: Annual salary range of $175,000–$225,000, based on experience and qualifications, with comprehensive benefits.
