Position Objective – Director of Landscape Operations: The primary role of the Director of Landscape
Operations is to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all residential, commercial, and
government landscape installation, construction, irrigation, and maintenance projects across the organization.
This executive role is responsible for driving operational excellence, scaling processes, ensuring profitability,
and leading General Managers across all operational divisions.
It is expected that the Director of Landscape Operations:
Will establish, standardize, and scale operational processes and systems across all divisions that
maximize efficiency, eliminate redundancies, manage field capacity, reduce overtime, and maximize
profitability.
Will shape the work environment across all operational divisions by setting performance standards,
defining the pace and strategic direction, and fostering employee engagement and leadership
development.
Will oversee the execution of high-impact residential, commercial, and municipal/government contracts, ensuring project safety, quality control, timeline adherence, and full contract compliance.
Will directly manage, coach, and hold accountable division General Managers, ensuring operational alignment with broader company growth goals.
Will communicate effectively with executive leadership regarding operational performance metrics,
project statuses, revenue growth, resource allocation, and key challenges.
Will oversee company-wide asset management strategies, including fleet, heavy equipment (tractors,
trucks), and supply purchasing, ensuring proper maintenance, utilization, and cost control.
Adheres to strict confidentiality of company production procedures and financial figures, including our
costs, profit margins, and gross sales. Violation of this policy is subject to immediate termination.
Will contribute industry knowledge and executive expertise to expand business operations, enter new
service lines/markets, and achieve revenue and margin targets.
Solves complex operational problems swiftly and strategically as they arise, instilling a proactive
problem-solving mindset across all project and field teams.
Will be able to lift 50 lbs.
Drive company vehicles.
This is an executive leadership position with an expectation of 50-55 hours per week, with occasional
weekend or off-hours availability as operational demands require.
