Job Summary:

GW Home Solutions is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead the day-to-day operations across our family of companies, including Ground Works Land Design, Granite Works Stone Design, Irrigation Works, Purchase Green Cleveland, Purchase Green Columbus, and Patriot Power Wash.

This is a senior leadership position responsible for driving operational excellence, improving organizational performance, and developing scalable systems that support long-term growth. Working directly alongside the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Operations will oversee daily business operations while helping transform strategic vision into measurable execution across every operating company.

The ideal candidate is a proven operational leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, develops strong leadership teams, removes organizational bottlenecks, and creates accountability through clear expectations and measurable performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
• 10–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management.
• Experience leading multiple business units, locations, divisions, or operating companies.
• Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to interpret operational metrics and drive organizational performance.
• Demonstrated success implementing scalable systems, improving processes, and leading organizational change.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience within home services, construction, manufacturing, distribution, or multi-location organizations strongly preferred.
• Experience leading executive teams and managing organizational growth preferred.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

• Lead the day-to-day operations across all GW Home Solutions operating companies.
• Ensure alignment between daily execution and the company’s long-term strategic vision.
• Drive operational consistency while supporting the unique needs of each individual business.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions that improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Leadership & Accountability

• Coach, mentor, and support General Managers and department leaders.
• Lead weekly operational leadership meetings focused on priorities, KPIs, execution, and continuous improvement.
• Establish clear ownership, expectations, and accountability throughout the organization.
• Foster a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and leadership development.

Process Improvement

• Develop, document, implement, and maintain company-wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Standardize operational processes where appropriate while maintaining flexibility for each operating company’s business model.
• Continuously evaluate workflows and implement improvements that support long‑term scalability.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Performance Management

• Develop and oversee company scorecards, KPIs, executive dashboards, and operational reporting.
• Monitor productivity, profitability, customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and employee engagement.
• Analyze operational trends and present recommendations to executive leadership.
• Drive accountability for company-wide operational performance.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, Technology, and Operations leadership.
• Support initiatives that strengthen operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Improve communication and collaboration between departments and operating companies.

Strategic Project Management

• Lead enterprise-wide operational initiatives and organizational improvement projects.
• Remove organizational bottlenecks affecting execution, growth, or customer satisfaction.
• Oversee implementation of new systems, technologies, and operational processes.
• Ensure strategic initiatives remain on schedule and aligned with company objectives.

Financial & Business Performance

• Partner with the Chief Financial Officer to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and resource utilization.
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and capacity planning.
• Monitor labor utilization, operational expenses, and key business performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve margins through operational improvements and process optimization.

Customer & Employee Experience

• Champion exceptional customer service across every operating company.
• Improve operational workflows that positively impact customer satisfaction and retention.
• Support onboarding, leadership development, and performance management initiatives.
• Reinforce GW Home Solutions’ mission, values, culture, and service standards throughout the organization.
