Director Of OperationsThe Director of Operations role supports a wide range of responsibilities and plays a key role in ensuring excellence, alignment, and efficiency across all aspects of MBC Arlington's ministry operations.Duties And Responsibilities (Essential Functions)The following items describe some of the ways the Location admin will operate:THE BUILDING/ FACILITYServe as point of contact for issues related to the buildingRequest work orders to MBC Building Services as neededCommunicate with MBC Facilities Staff regarding custodian's schedule changes or issuesHandle incoming mail/deliveries to the buildingEnsure storage areas are tidy and organized well for ongoing useHandle requests for building usage from members and outside groupsPURCHASING, INVOICES AND EXPENSE REPORTSOrder supplies for office as neededMaintain supply of worship supplies: communion cups, snacks, response cards, new people packets, etc.Handle receipts and monthly expense reportsProcess reimbursements for church members as neededEnsure timely payment of invoicesOUTWARD FACING COMMUNICATIONSEnsure the website is accurate and up to date with the latest informationWork with Communications Team to request graphics for projectsPost on social media accounts, with input from Location PastorEVENTS AND CLASSESUtilize the MBC Help Desk to request event and class registrationsPurchase or order food and supplies for events/classesEnsure the class and events are set up and cleaned up, with help from Serve TeamsMINISTRY PLATFORMRun reports in MP including registration lists, stats on membership, etc.Input / update records in MPSend group emails through MP (eNews, event participant info, etc.)CHURCH GROUPSFacilitate a smooth connection to CGs from initial request to first visitCommunicate with leaders to maintain accurate rosters, and to see where groups have room to growFacilitate the coverage of CGs (stories/celebrations) in our communications channelsMEETINGSEnsuring that staff meetings minutes and agenda are communicated to relevant partiesEnsure that accurate meeting notes are taken and disseminatedEnsure that tasks are communicated to those responsible and that projects are managed to completionCOMMUNITIESServe as the primary staff contact for a Women's Community.Serve as an additional staff contact for Men's Community.Work with staff and Community Team leaders to ensure all our events / gatherings are welcoming for new guests and include a process for guest follow-upFacilitate the coverage of Communities (stories/celebrations) in our communications channelsSERVE TEAMSKeep an accurate list of open serving opportunitiesEnsure the onboarding process for serve teams is smooth and effective across all teamsFacilitate the coverage of serve teams in our communications channelsTHE SUNDAY EXPERIENCEOversee the Welcome Teams strategy and leadershipEnsure the building aesthetic and vibe is positive and welcomingTroubleshoot any issues that affect the Sunday experienceEnsure that new guests are contacted in a timely way following their first visit with usDevelop a team of Connectors to follow up with a personal touchpoint (email, call, invitation, etc.)Route new guests to other staff as appropriate regarding discipleship/care/etc.GENERAL INQUIRIESServe as the point of contact for general inquiriesBe available to receive visitors to the buildingRespond to questions that come in via email, website form, or phone callsQualificationsMust be a "people person" who enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment.Must have demonstrated a gifting for organization and administration.Must be passionate about details, accuracy, follow-through and excellence.Must be able to manage and prioritize tasks for optimum efficiency.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must be able to work well with others as an encouraging and supportive team member.Must be able to be joyful and flexible in the midst of constant change.Working conditionsFull -Time PositionThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.Physical requirementsMust be able to read, speak, and hear.
