Job Summary:
A respected senior living organization is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing / Resident Care Director (RCD) to lead clinical operations and provide exceptional care services for residents. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing resident wellness programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing clinical staff, and promoting a culture of quality care and service excellence.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership & Operations
- Lead and oversee all clinical care services within the community.
- Supervise nursing and care staff to ensure quality resident outcomes.
- Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and care delivery processes.
- Serve as a clinical resource for residents, families, and team members.
Resident Care Management
- Ensure resident assessments and individualized service plans are completed accurately.
- Monitor resident wellness and coordinate appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapy providers, and family members regarding resident care.
- Support memory care and specialized clinical programs as needed.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Oversee medication management and clinical documentation processes.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain survey readiness.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
Team Development
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate clinical team members.
- Provide coaching and professional development opportunities.
- Promote employee engagement and teamwork.
- Ensure completion of required clinical training and certifications.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
- Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, or Memory Care.
- Prior management or Director of Nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of resident care standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.
- Competitive salary: $115,000–$130,000 based on experience.
- Annual bonus opportunity of 12–15% .
