Role Summary
This role is ideal for an experienced Behavioral Health or Substance Use Disorder Nurse Manager or Supervisor looking to take the next step into a Director of Nursing position with strong mentorship and support.
Your Role
As Director of Nursing, you'll oversee nursing operations and set the clinical standard for the facility:
- Lead and manage nursing teams to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care
- Provide coaching, development, and mentorship to nurse leaders and staff
- Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, and state regulations
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning
- Monitor clinical outcomes and drive quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support treatment goals
- Participate in leadership meetings and support strategic decision‑making
Requirements
- Active RN license (Texas)
- BSN strongly preferred
- 3+ years RN experience (6+ preferred)
- Behavioral health nursing experience: 1 year required, 2+ preferred (inpatient, outpatient, psychiatric, addiction recovery, or related)
- 2+ years of progressive leadership or management experience required
- Prior Director of Nursing or Nurse Manager experience preferred
