Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care to residents in our nursing home facility. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a strong clinical background, capable of overseeing the nursing department, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence in patient care. The Director of Nursing will play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall quality of healthcare services and maintaining high standards of resident satisfaction.


Responsibilities:



  • Clinical Leadership:

    • Provide clinical oversight and leadership to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care.

    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans based on residents’ individual needs.



  • Staff Management:

    • Recruit, train, and supervise nursing personnel, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants.

    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional growth and development.



  • Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing nursing home facilities.

    • Stay informed about industry standards and best practices, implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance.



  • Quality Assurance:

    • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to assess and enhance the overall quality of nursing care.

    • Conduct regular audits and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.



  • Patient and Family Engagement:

    • Establish effective communication channels with residents and their families, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive experience.

    • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall well-being and satisfaction of residents.



  • Education and Training:

    • Provide ongoing education and training to nursing staff to ensure competency and adherence to best practices.

    • Stay abreast of advancements in healthcare and implement relevant training programs.



  • Budget Management:

    • Collaborate with the administrative team to develop and manage the nursing department budget.

    • Monitor expenses, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation.




Qualifications:



  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid state license.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or a related field preferred

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursing home or long‑term care setting.

  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in geriatric nursing.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to make informed decisions in a fast‑paced and challenging healthcare environment.
