Greenwood Place Senior Living is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (LPN) to lead our clinical team and ensure exceptional care for our Assisted Living & Memory Care residents. What You'll Do
- Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, community policies, and nursing standards.
- Conduct pre-admission assessments for prospective residents.
- Complete admission, monthly, quarterly, and change-of-condition resident assessments.
- Develop, review, and update individualized resident care plans.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff while promoting a positive team culture.
- Participate in hiring, training, coaching, and ongoing staff development.
- Monitor resident wellness and communicate changes in condition with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Review and transcribe physician orders accurately.
- Administer and document medications following the Five Rights of Medication Administration.
- Assist residents with scheduling medical, dental, and laboratory appointments.
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning, fire safety procedures, and community drills.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with department leaders to provide exceptional resident care and customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Current Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in senior living, assisted living, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of Florida Assisted Living regulations and nursing best practices.
- Experience with resident assessments, care planning, medication management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and team members.
