Director of Nursing - Emergency

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as the Director of Nursing in our Emergency Department, located in Aiken. This pivotal role calls for a leader with a strong background in emergency nursing and management, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Emergency Department nursing team.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency standards.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, fostering efficient resource utilization.
• Implement and uphold human resource management practices within the department.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency nursing, with up to 5 years total experience relevant to the role.
• Previous management experience in a healthcare setting is essential.
• Current South Carolina RN license, along with CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Proficient in fiscal management and knowledgeable in HR management.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong decision-making skills.
