Director of Business Development and MarketingAkron, OHOnsite first 90 days, then hybridReporting to the President and CEO, the Director of Business Development and Marketing will lead marketing, communications, brand, digital engagement, public relations, and sales enablement strategies. This highly collaborative role partners closely with Sales and executive leadership to generate leads, strengthen customer relationships, support revenue growth, and identify new opportunities to grow the business.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute integrated marketing and communications strategies aligned with sales, business development, revenue, and customer retention goals.Partner closely with Sales to create lead-generation campaigns, sales materials, customer communications, and targeted market initiatives.Collaborate with executive leadership on annual marketing priorities, brand positioning, growth strategies, and measurable performance goals.Monitor sales pipeline and marketing performance, including lead quality, campaign ROI, customer engagement, and revenue contribution.Lead and develop marketing, communications, sales support, and creative team members.Develop multi-channel campaigns across email, digital advertising, Google Ads, LinkedIn, social media, direct mail, webinars, and other channels.Manage CRM and marketing automation platforms, including Act-On and Microsoft Dynamics CRM, to support lead generation, segmentation, pipeline activity, and customer retention.Oversee content and creative development, including newsletters, e-blasts, PR, sales collateral, presentations, digital assets, and advertising.Manage public relations, media outreach, customer communications, and brand-building initiatives.Plan and support conferences, trade shows, seminars, sponsorships, and customer events that generate awareness and sales opportunities.Conduct market, customer, and competitor research to identify opportunities and recommend new marketing and business development strategies.Manage marketing budgets, vendors, advertising, production schedules, and project timelines.Stay current on marketing trends and emerging tools and bring creative, new ideas that increase brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue.Travel as needed for conferences, trade shows, customer meetings, and other business development activities.
