Director of Manufacturing Engineering

Valley Mountain Staffing is hiring on behalf of a defense manufacturer building mission-ready, combat-proven gear used by Special Forces, tactical first responders, and extreme outdoor operators worldwide. Their products are in the field with over 100,000 US and coalition force operators. This is a small company doing big things, and they need a leader to match.

We're looking for a Director of Manufacturing Design Engineering to lead the team responsible for turning tough requirements into manufacturable, field proven products.

What you'll own:

• Lead a team of manufacturing design engineers: development, compliance, risk, process, performance
• Be the go to expert on manufacturing processes, DFM principles, and materials
• Drive new product introduction and continuous improvement initiatives
• Set team strategy and keep it aligned to company goals
• Mediate technical disagreements with data, not opinions

What you bring:

• 7-10 years in end to end product development, comfortable with hardware/software integration
• Bachelor's in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
• US Citizen, able to obtain a security clearance
• A track record of driving innovation on the manufacturing floor, not just in a conference room
• You like small companies. You like details. You do what you say you'll do.

This is an in person role, 5 days a week, North Scottsdale area.
