Director, Manufacturing Engineering Responsibilities :
- Personally design, document, and enhance manufacturing workflows, layouts, and work instructions.
- Lead process reviews, critique process designs, and enforce quality standards.
- Coach and develop manufacturing engineers and technicians in process methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
- Oversee the manufacturing engineering team, including hiring and performance management.
- Collaborate closely with Product Engineering on manufacturability and design feedback.
Director, Manufacturing Engineering Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 8 years of progressive process engineering experience, with hands-on involvement in process development.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, process documentation, and control plans.
- Experience leading process reviews, mentoring teams, and managing engineering budgets.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PFMEA, SPC, and manufacturing standards like UL 891, NEC, and ANSI.
