Director of Loss Prevention

As the Director of Loss Prevention, you will be responsible for safeguarding the company's physical assets, inventory, employees, and customers. You will develop and execute comprehensive security strategies, oversee risk management, investigate cases of internal and external theft, and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive loss prevention, safety, and security strategies across the organization.
• Incident & Crime Management: Oversee investigations into theft, fraud, and policy violations. Lead root-cause analysis and collaborate with local law enforcement.
• Risk & Safety Compliance: Ensure all facilities comply with federal, state, and local safety standards, including OSHA and fire safety regulations.
• Asset & Shrink Control: Monitor inventory shrinkage, track cash handling anomalies, and recommend processes to minimize product loss.
• Team Management: Recruit, train, and manage loss prevention personnel, security teams, and regional managers.
• Security Technology: Evaluate, upgrade, and maintain physical security infrastructure, such as CCTV systems, alarm systems, and access controls.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive security or asset protection management experience in the convenience industry.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of workplace safety regulations (OSHA), security surveillance systems, and retail or corporate shrink reduction
• Skills: Strong crisis management, investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication is essential.
