Director of Laboratory Services, MT(ASCP), Tx.

Full‑time position at a general acute‑care facility in mid‑Texas.

Responsibilities

• Manage laboratory staff, FTEs, hiring, firing, and staffing plans.
• Oversee laboratory budgeting, financial performance, and resource allocation.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, department directors, and physicians to maintain high standards of quality and service.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• BS degree.
• MT(ASCP) certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Director of Hospital Laboratory in a 100‑plus bed facility.
• Demonstrated accomplishments and results as a team leader and director.
• Strong regulatory knowledge and experience with laboratory accreditation and state health regulations.
