Director of Infrastructure Engineering

To lead a high-performing infrastructure organization of approximately 12 engineers, the full-time Director of Infrastructure Engineering will manage operational excellence, oversee budgets, and set technical direction across various infrastructure domains while working remotely or onsite in Sunnyvale, CA. Key responsibilities Build and manage a distributed infrastructure organization, ensuring reliability and accountability across all services Oversee capital and operating budgets, vendor relationships, and identify cost-reduction opportunities without compromising reliability Collaborate with Product and Development teams to design and document infrastructure solutions, incorporating infrastructure considerations early in product development Required qualifications 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or operations, with at least 5 years in leadership roles Deep technical fluency in Linux, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and network security Proven experience managing capital and operating budgets and negotiating vendor contracts Experience leading teams through significant organizational changes, such as mergers or consolidations Background in telecom, VoIP, or high-availability service environments preferred
