Full Time Hauppauge, NY, US
3 days ago Requisition ID: 1086
Salary Range: $120,000.00 To $165,000.00 Annually
Director of Human Resources
Groth Pain & Spine | Long Island
Lead People Strategy at Long Island's Premier Pain Management Practice
Groth Pain & Spine is growing — and as we expand, we need an experienced HR leader to build the people-first foundation that keeps pace with us. This is a rare opportunity to shape HR strategy from a leadership seat at a thriving, multidisciplinary healthcare practice, rather than simply administer policy within one.
We're looking for a Director of Human Resources who can balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution — someone who understands that in a practice built around compassionate patient care, taking care of our people isn't a side function, it's the foundation everything else stands on.
Why Groth Pain & Spine?
- A seat at the leadership table — partner directly with practice leadership to shape organizational strategy as we scale
- A mission‑driven culture — support a multidisciplinary team of Physicians, NPs, PAs, Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists, Psychologists, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers
- Real ownership — build and refine HR infrastructure, policy, and programs across a rapidly growing multi‑location practice
- Competitive compensation — $120,000–$165,000 salary range, plus health insurance, paid holidays, PTO, performance bonuses, and 401(k)
- A culture that's second to none — join a practice that genuinely invests in the people who make great patient care possible
What You'll Do
- Develop and lead the organization's overall HR strategy, aligning people’s initiatives with practice growth goals
- Oversee full‑cycle talent acquisition, ensuring the practice attracts and retains top clinical and administrative talent
- Design and manage compensation, benefits, and performance management programs
- Lead employee relations efforts, fostering a positive, high‑integrity workplace culture
- Ensure compliance with employment law, healthcare workforce regulations, and practice policy across all locations
- Build and mentor an HR team capable of supporting a growing, multi‑site organization
- Partner with practice leadership and department heads on workforce planning and organizational development
- Oversee onboarding, training, and professional development programs for clinical and non‑clinical staff
- Manage HR budgets, vendor relationships, and HRIS systems
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or SHRM/HRCI certification preferred)
- Significant progressive HR leadership experience, ideally within healthcare or a multi-site organization
- Strong knowledge of employment law and healthcare workforce compliance
- Proven ability to lead HR strategy while remaining comfortable with hands‑on, day‑to‑day execution
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growing environment
- Discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive personnel matters
Note: This position may require travel between multiple practice locations.
Groth Pain & Spine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
