Our team is committed to providing trauma-informed, client-centered services that promote lasting recovery.Position SummaryAs the Director of Human Resources, you will lead and oversee HR operations, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal employment regulations.

You will act as a strategic partner to leadership, fostering a positive and productive work environment while maintaining sound HR practices across the organization.This is a hands-on leadership role that will directly influence recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, payroll, compliance, employee relations, and organizational culture.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage onboarding and offboarding processesHandle recruitment: offer letters, pre-employment screening, reference checksOversee HRIS and benefit platforms (Paychex, Paycom, Employee Navigator, etc.)Administer payroll for W-2 and contract staffEnsure multi-state compliance with employment laws and regulatory bodies (DCF, DOH, TJC, DMHA)Manage employee relations, investigations, grievances, and disciplinary actionsMaintain and audit personnel files, training logs, evaluations, and health recordsConduct exit interviews and provide feedback to leadershipCoordinate staff performance evaluations and ongoing training initiativesSupport the organization in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplaceUphold confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA and PHI access standardsCollaborate with executive leadership to improve workflow and HR strategyPerform other duties as assigned
