Overview
An established, non-automotive and non-union organization operating across multiple sites is seeking a Director of HR to provide strategic and operational leadership to its HR function. This is a high-impact executive role that shapes talent strategy, workforce planning, and organizational culture while overseeing a tenured team of HR professionals across multiple facilities.
What you'll do
- Partner with executive leadership to align talent strategy with enterprise-wide business goals and drive culture transformation
- Direct, mentor, and develop a team of HR professionals across multiple operational sites
- Serve as a strategic advisor to managers and executives on coaching, conflict resolution, and talent strategy
- Oversee enterprise-wide leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, Disability, and USERRA, and manage the interactive ADA process in coordination with finance/payroll
- Develop, refine, and enforce HR policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to manage risk and ensure compliance and data integrity
- Lead employee relations strategy and complex investigations to ensure consistent, equitable outcomes
- Design performance management frameworks, engagement initiatives, and succession planning pathways
- Monitor state and federal labor regulations and oversee backup operations for Workers' Compensation and Unemployment Risk Management
- Design and deliver training programs on management practices, policy adherence, legal compliance, and drug-free workplace (DFWP) programs
- Use HR analytics and workforce data to conduct compliance audits and inform leadership decision-making
- Build relationships across all levels of the organization and lead cross-functional projects related to culture, retention, and employee experience
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree required
- At least five years in a similar HR leadership role
- Experience overseeing a team of HR professionals
- Experience leading and participating in strategic HR and company initiatives
- Experience with Workers' Compensation
- Experience leading employee relations, including investigations and conflict management
- Experience overseeing benefits administration
- Microsoft Office experience
- Must be local to the Tiffin, OH area (relocation assistance is not available)

- Bachelor's degree highly preferred
- HR certifications
- HRIS experience
- Payroll experience
- Multi-site responsibilities
