We are partnering with a fast-growing insurance brokerage platform to hire a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. This is a highly visible, hands-on position that works directly with the CFO and business leadership to strengthen financial planning, operational analysis, and performance visibility across the organization.
The opportunity is particularly well suited for a strong FP&A Manager or Senior Manager who understands insurance brokerage economics and is ready to step into broader ownership and executive exposure.
The Director will personally lead forecasting, analysis, and reporting while helping to build a more scalable FP&A function.
What You’ll Own
- Lead the annual budgeting and recurring forecasting processes
- Develop reporting and analysis that help leadership understand business performance
- Partner with agency and operating leaders to evaluate revenue, profitability and growth
- Analyze key brokerage metrics, including organic growth, commissions, retention, producer performance and EBITDA
- Prepare financial materials and insights for the CFO and executive leadership
- Build models that support strategic decisions, investments and growth initiatives
- Improve dashboards, reporting tools and planning processes
- Support the financial evaluation and integration of acquired businesses
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities that may not be visible through standard financial reporting
What We’re Looking For
- Meaningful finance or FP&A experience within an insurance brokerage, insurance agency, agency network or insurance distribution business
- Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting
- An understanding of the operating economics and performance drivers of an insurance brokerage
- Advanced financial modeling and Excel capabilities
- Ability to translate financial information into practical business recommendations
- Experience working directly with senior executives and operational leaders
- Comfortable operating as a hands-on individual contributor in a growing organization
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field
Helpful, But Not Required
- Experience within an acquisitive or private-equity-backed organization
- Exposure to acquisition integration or multi-entity operations
- Experience building dashboards or improving FP&A systems
- CPA, MBA, or other relevant advanced credential
