Segrera Associates is recruiting a Director of Finance on behalf of a highly respected and rapidly growing construction organization located in the Riverview, FL area. This organization has established itself as a leader within its industry, with a strong reputation for operational excellence, continued growth, and a commitment to investing in its people and processes.
This is a newly created leadership opportunity for a strategic finance professional who will serve as a key partner to the CFO and executive leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring strong FP&A capabilities, operational finance experience, and the ability to drive process improvements within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
This role is fully on-site in Riverview, FL. Candidates should be located within a reasonable commuting distance of Riverview or be willing to relocate for the opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the CFO and executive leadership team to support strategic financial initiatives and business decisions.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-term planning processes.
- Develop financial analysis and reporting tools to provide actionable insights into business performance.
- Analyze operational trends, profitability drivers, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide executive-level reporting, variance analysis, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to evaluate financial performance, project profitability, cost trends, and business opportunities.
- Support the continued enhancement of financial processes, reporting structures, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, automation, reporting accuracy, and overall efficiency.
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards and KPIs to increase visibility across the organization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a trusted business partner across accounting, operations, and leadership teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with demonstrated FP&A leadership.
- Prior experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Strong financial modeling skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
- Experience supporting operationally complex, project-based, or multi-entity organizations strongly preferred.
- Construction, engineering, manufacturing, or other project-driven industry experience highly preferred; candidates from other industries will be considered.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills required; Sage Intacct experience a plus.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing finance teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner with executive leadership.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a hands‑on and analytical approach.
