Genesis Partners is leading a retained search for a Director of Finance at a rapidly scaling beauty brand. Reporting into senior finance leadership and working closely with the CFO, this person will run FP&A across the company: the forecasting engine, the reporting cadence, and the analytical infrastructure that keeps a fast-moving consumer business disciplined as it grows. It's a build-and-own seat, best suited to someone who wants a direct line to executive decision-making rather than a layer between themselves and the outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Run the annual budget, rolling forecast, and long-range plan, and make sure the numbers stay connected to what the board and leadership team actually care about.
• Build the materials that drive decisions upstairs: board presentations, investor reporting, and executive-level analysis that turns raw financials into a clear story.
• Develop and maintain the company's core models, from multi-year growth scenarios to margin bridges and sensitivity cases, so leadership can pressure-test big bets before committing.
• Dig into performance at the P&L, channel, and SKU level; catch problems while they're still small and push the fixes through with the teams that own them.
• Serve as the go-to finance counterpart for Sales, Marketing, Ops, and E-Commerce, putting ROI discipline behind major spend and growth initiatives.
• Modernize how the finance function operates: tighten data integrity, automate planning and reporting workflows, and put the ERP and AI tooling to real use.
• Evaluate capital projects, product launches, and strategic investments, then close the loop with post-launch reviews of what actually happened versus plan.
• Spot financial and operational risk early and bring mitigation options to leadership before issues become urgent.

Who You Are

• 8+ years in FP&A or corporate finance with steadily increasing scope; background in consumer products, beauty, retail, or e-commerce is a strong plus.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar; MBA, CPA, CFA, or CMA a plus.
• You've sat across from executives, made a case with numbers, and changed the decision.
• Deep modeling chops: 3-statement builds, 13-week cash flow, management reporting, all second nature.
• You communicate like an operator, not an analyst; complex financials come out of your mouth as plain, actionable takeaways.
• Excel power user, and genuinely curious about what AI tooling can take off your plate.
• You'd rather build the process than inherit it, and you move fast without getting sloppy.
• $160,000 to $170,000 base, 20% target bonus, full benefits.
• Real runway: the finance org is growing, and this seat grows with it.
• Hybrid schedule - 2 days onsite
