Director of External Reporting | Tampa, FL | Competitive Compensation + Full Benefits. This is a rare, high-impact opportunity to serve as the architect of the external reporting function at a fast-growing, acquisitive organization navigating one of the most consequential chapters in its history — building the financial reporting infrastructure, internal controls, and SEC-readiness capabilities required to support a path toward the public markets. As Director of External Reporting, you will own company-wide financial reporting, draft and maintain financial footnotes, MD&A, and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations, design and implement ICFR, and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors on all reporting and disclosure matters. The organization grows through acquisition, and the operational leaders across its network are deeply embedded partners — meaning this role demands a genuine service orientation and the ability to interface effectively with accounting teams and leaders across multiple locations. This is a builder's role in every sense: you will be creating processes, controls, and reporting frameworks largely from the ground up, and the right candidate will find that exciting! With up to 25% domestic travel at times, the role offers meaningful visibility across the full organization. If you are a CPA with Big 4 or strong national firm experience, SEC reporting experience, and an IPO under your belt, this is an exceptional opportunity.
