Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be part of the Environmental team within the Energy Services Sector , based in Houston, Texas . You will lead environmental project management, including client management and business development.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Manage environmental permitting, regulatory strategy development, field surveys, and construction compliance for energy-related projects, such as pipelines, tank terminals, and downstream facilities.
  • Develop and maintain environmental policies and procedures for project compliance.
  • Manage and prepare permit applications for agencies like FERC, EPA, USACE, USFWS, SHPO, and local authorities.
  • Oversee firms conducting environmental and cultural resource surveys, land use mapping, and permitting activities.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with NEPA and FERC guidelines.
  • Prepare biological assessments for ESA Section 7 consultations.
  • Develop proposals and cost estimates for client contracts.

What your experience looks like

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Geology, or related field, with at least 15 years of relevant experience in permitting and environmental consulting for oil and gas projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook.
  • Deep knowledge of environmental regulations from FERC, EPA, USACE, and USFWS.
  • Experience in business development and client relationship management.
  • Understanding of project planning, development, and evaluation within the energy sector.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience with RFPs, bids, and tenders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with technical writing expertise.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and produce accurate, detailed reports.
