Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be part of the Environmental team within the Energy Services Sector , based in Houston, Texas . You will lead environmental project management, including client management and business development.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Manage environmental permitting, regulatory strategy development, field surveys, and construction compliance for energy-related projects, such as pipelines, tank terminals, and downstream facilities.
- Develop and maintain environmental policies and procedures for project compliance.
- Manage and prepare permit applications for agencies like FERC, EPA, USACE, USFWS, SHPO, and local authorities.
- Oversee firms conducting environmental and cultural resource surveys, land use mapping, and permitting activities.
- Ensure documentation aligns with NEPA and FERC guidelines.
- Prepare biological assessments for ESA Section 7 consultations.
- Develop proposals and cost estimates for client contracts.
What your experience looks like
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Geology, or related field, with at least 15 years of relevant experience in permitting and environmental consulting for oil and gas projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook.
- Deep knowledge of environmental regulations from FERC, EPA, USACE, and USFWS.
- Experience in business development and client relationship management.
- Understanding of project planning, development, and evaluation within the energy sector.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience with RFPs, bids, and tenders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with technical writing expertise.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and produce accurate, detailed reports.
