We’re partnering with a fast-growing solar EPC that’s built a strong reputation in the Distributed Generation and Utility-scale solar markets. With a strong backlog of projects across the U.S. and a commitment to high-quality engineering and execution, they’re expanding their leadership team to keep pace with demand. They’re looking for a Director of Engineering to join their team remotely. In this role, you’ll lead a team of engineers working on solar PV and BESS projects from pre-construction through commissioning. You’ll be responsible for reviewing site plans, engineering drawings, and AutoCAD files to identify errors or design gaps. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation of solar project experience, a strong technical mindset, and the ability to work in both field and office settings.

The ideal candidate should have the following:

• Minimum 6 years of experience delivering DG or Utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects
• Proficient in AutoCAD and able to perform technical reviews of site plans, electrical one-lines, layout drawings, and interconnection diagrams
• Deep understanding of PV system design principles, NEC code compliance, and permitting requirements
• Ability to identify constructability issues and field-level design flaws during site walks or drawing reviews
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams across multiple project phases (design, procurement, construction, commissioning)
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering required
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
