Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the engineering department
• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of construction engineering projects
• Develop and implement engineering standards, policies, and best practices
• Manage and mentor engineering teams, fostering professional development
• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and business initiatives
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
• Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes
• Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and technical documentation
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in construction engineering
• Represent the company at industry events and professional organizations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in construction engineering or related roles
• Proven track record of leadership in engineering management positions
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems
• Experience managing large-scale construction projects from conception to completion
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools
• Strong understanding of building codes and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic engineering initiatives
• Experience with budget management and resource allocation
