Director of Distribution & Logistics - Region 3

We are hiring an experienced Director, Distribution & Logistics - Region 3 to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for distribution center operations across multiple locations within the region. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, inventory optimization, service level performance, and continuous improvement while ensuring efficient product flow throughout the supply chain network. As a key leader within our Distribution & Logistics organization, you will partner cross-functionally with Planning, Procurement, Transportation, Sales, and Customer Service teams to deliver exceptional business results while building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end distribution center operations across assigned regional locations.
• Establish, monitor, and improve key performance indicators including order accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory turns, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Drive operational consistency, safety, quality standards, and service excellence across all facilities.
• Develop and execute inventory control strategies that improve stock accuracy and optimize inventory levels.
• Partner with planning teams to balance demand fluctuations while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
• Design efficient product flow strategies, including cross-docking, transfer optimization, and transportation partnerships.
• Enhance distribution performance to support faster delivery times and improved order fulfillment.
• Develop strategies that exceed service level commitments and improve customer satisfaction.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational capabilities.
• Develop and manage regional operating budgets.
• Analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
• Lead capital investment initiatives related to facilities, equipment, automation, and process improvements.
• Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing distribution center leadership teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, safety, and continuous development.
• Support succession planning, coaching, performance management, and talent development initiatives.
• Leverage WMS, ERP systems, and data analytics to optimize operations and improve decision-making.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to influence supply chain strategy and deliver business objectives.
• Lead organizational change initiatives and implement best practices across multiple facilities.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of progressive experience in distribution, logistics, supply chain, or related operations.
• Minimum 3 years leading and developing teams in a management or leadership capacity.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of distribution center operations and supply chain management.
• Experience leading multi-site operations in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to analyze key metrics and drive performance improvements.
• Proven expertise in process improvement, operational excellence, and technology-enabled solutions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working in unionized environments and managing labor relations is considered a strong asset.
• Knowledge of retail, consumer goods, or travel retail operations is preferred.
• Must reside within Region 3 and be located near a major airport.
• Ability to travel up to 70% throughout the region.
