Leading the establishment and ongoing management of the Data Platform Team, the full-time remote Director of Data Platform will architect and oversee a unified data governance framework, manage Snowflake architecture, and ensure operational excellence across data ingestion and event streaming infrastructures. Key responsibilities Own the target-state Snowflake architecture and establish platform-wide standards for security, scalability, and operational resilience Lead the enterprise data governance vision, ensuring integration into platform delivery and operations while managing a Data Governance leader Define and enforce the access-rights model for domain connections, collaborating with Security to scale governance and policy enforcement Required qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 12+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or data architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including performance optimization and cost governance Experience designing and running data governance programs and access authorization models for data platforms Proven ability to build and manage data product publishing programs and self-service consumption models
