Leading the data lifecycle in a full-time remote capacity, the Director of Data Platform will architect and manage the data infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance while mentoring a distributed engineering team and collaborating with cross-functional partners to drive strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities Architect the data foundation, managing pipeline orchestration and dbt projects to ensure data quality and accessibility Mentor and scale a high-performing data engineering team, focusing on technical growth and architectural excellence Collaborate with Analytics and Data Science teams to define technical roadmaps and maintain clear ownership boundaries between core systems and analytics Required qualifications Over a decade of experience in data engineering or platform domains, with at least 4 years in leadership roles Hands-on mastery of modern cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Dagster, Airflow) Expert-level proficiency in dbt, including project architecture and integration with BI tools Strong background in dimensional modeling and advanced SQL and Python skills Professional fluency in HIPAA regulations and experience with sensitive healthcare data infrastructure
