To define the vision and execute the long-term strategy for the global data ecosystem, the full-time remote Director of Data Engineering will oversee the re-architecture of the data warehouse, manage data governance frameworks, and drive cross-functional data initiatives. Key responsibilities Define a 2-3 year vision for the data platform and align initiatives with company goals to drive business growth Build and scale a multi-tiered engineering organization, fostering a culture of technical excellence and mentorship Establish global standards for data quality, security, and privacy while managing vendor relationships and optimizing data infrastructure costs Required qualifications 10+ years in Data Engineering/Software Engineering, with at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles Deep architectural knowledge of modern data stack technologies such as Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt Proven experience in leading organizations through significant technical and cultural changes Exceptional ability to communicate technical investments to non-technical partners and solve complex business problems with data Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
