Director of Construction

Company Description

CVG Home Buyers is a leading residential real estate fix-and-flip company in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, closing over 300 transactions a year. As we continue to scale, we're looking for a Director of Construction to lead and build out our Construction Department.

Role Description

This is a leadership role heading their own department. You'll take our existing construction processes and subcontractor relationships and build them into a fully-fledged department — refining systems, growing the team, and setting the standard for how construction operates across CVG Home Buyers. If you want to lead a department and shape its future rather than just manage projects within one, this is that opportunity.

Compensation

Salary Range: $150,000–$180,000

What You'll Do

• Lead and grow the Construction Department, building on existing processes and relationships
• Oversee renovation and rehab projects from scope-of-work through final walkthrough
• Expand and manage a reliable network of subcontractors, trades, and vendors
• Refine scheduling, quality control, and accountability standards across all projects
• Own project budgets and timelines, flagging risks before they become problems
• Conduct property walkthroughs to scope rehab work and build accurate estimates
• Ensure all work meets code, quality standards, and company build specs
• Coordinate with acquisitions and leadership to keep projects moving on schedule
• Hire and develop additional team members as the department grows

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of experience in construction management, new builds, residential renovation, or general contracting
• Experience growing or leading a department, team, or process is a strong plus
• Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and subcontractor crews
• Strong understanding of budgets, scopes of work, and construction timelines
• Familiarity with local building codes in Ohio and/or Kentucky
• Excellent communication and organizational skills — you can run a job site and a spreadsheet
• A get-it-done mentality; comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
