Director of Compliance

Compliance / BSA OfficerAngott Search Group is pleased to partner with a $400 million credit union in the search for a Compliance / BSA Officer. This role leads the organization's Compliance Program and serves as the designated BSA/AML and OFAC Officer, ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations. Reporting to executive leadership, this position plays a critical role in regulatory risk management, exam readiness, and cross-functional partnership across the credit union.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the designated BSA Officer, overseeing BSA/AML and OFAC programsManage CIP, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, SAR/CTR filings, OFAC screening, and 314(a)/(b) activitiesConduct compliance risk assessments; develop, update, and communicate policies and proceduresLead vendor compliance risk oversight, including due diligence, risk ratings, and contract reviewsPartner with business units to prepare for and respond to regulatory exams and auditsCoordinate independent testing and ensure timely remediation of findingsOversee compliance training programs and maintain compliance resources for staffManage complaint investigations, Reg E governance, and root-cause analysisPrepare management and board reporting, including quarterly updates and annual BSA reportsQualifications:4+ years of banking or credit union compliance experience with direct BSA/AML/OFAC responsibilityPrior experience serving as a designated BSA OfficerBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceProfessional certifications (ACAMS, BSACS, CUCO, NCCO, or similar) preferredStrong knowledge of banking regulations, risk management, and compliance frameworksExcellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills
