Director of Case Management
We are seeking an experienced Director of Case Management to lead and oversee a hospital-based case management department. This leadership role is responsible for developing departmental strategy, ensuring high-quality patient care coordination, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence. The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and offers the opportunity to build and strengthen a growing department.
Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and implement departmental goals, policies, and operational standards aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Direct daily case management operations, including patient care coordination, service delivery, technology utilization, and resolution of patient or stakeholder concerns.
  • Lead staffing initiatives including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, scheduling, employee development, and corrective action when appropriate.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets while ensuring responsible use of financial resources.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Promote a culture of professional growth, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Incorporate evidence-based practices into departmental workflows and clinical processes.
  • Maintain compliance with HIP nd other healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
  • Perform additional leadership responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Case Management experience in an acute healthcare setting.
  • ACMA (Accredited Case Manager) certification or the ability to obtain certification within two years of hire.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and case management best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership or management experience within a Case Management department.
  • Experience with budgeting, staff development, quality improvement, and departmental operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive performance improvement initiatives.
