Director of Business Transformation

Swoon is actively hiring a Director of Business Transformation to join the team!

What your day-to-day will look like

• Partnering with business-unit executives - Meet with leaders across Operations, Lending, Finance, Business Banking, Wealth, and HR to understand business challenges, growth priorities, and transformation opportunities.
• Shaping transformation initiatives early - Identify opportunities to redesign operating models, improve capabilities, reengineer processes, and introduce technology-enabled changes before they become fully defined projects.
• Evaluating and prioritizing incoming requests - Lead the intake and triage process to determine whether work requires true business transformation support or should be handled as a traditional project through Business Analysts and Project Managers.
• Managing the transformation portfolio and team capacity - Prioritize engagements, assign Business Transformation Managers and Analysts based on expertise and readiness, monitor workloads, and determine when additional or contract resources are needed.
• Leading and developing the transformation team - Coach the two Business Transformation Managers and oversee the development of Transformation Analysts and Business Analysts, including performance management, career growth, and capability building.
• Overseeing transformation quality and adoption - Ensure teams consistently apply the organization’s transformation methodology, change-management practices, engagement playbooks, and responsible AI and data-governance standards.
• Measuring results and communicating with leadership - Track adoption, capability improvement, decision quality, and measurable business outcomes—not simply project completion—and report priorities, progress, resource needs, and realized value to executive leadership.

What’s Required / Technical Skills

• 7+ years of experience leading business transformation, management consulting, or transformation-office initiatives.
• 4+ years in a leadership role, with experience hiring, mentoring, developing, and managing senior professionals and analyst teams.
• Proven success redesigning enterprise operating models, reengineering complex business processes, and improving organizational capabilities.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior business executives, influence strategic decisions, and gain alignment without having direct authority.
• Experience connecting business strategy with technology solutions, including workflow redesign, automation, AI-enabled processes, and enterprise change initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to drive employee and stakeholder adoption, measure business outcomes, and ensure transformation initiatives create lasting value—not merely completed projects.
• Ability to evaluate and prioritize transformation requests, manage multiple concurrent engagements, allocate team capacity, and coordinate priorities and dependencies with a PMO.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience is also required.
• Financial-services or regulated-industry experience is strongly preferred.
