Schedule: 4 days onsite, Fridays remote

Position Summary
- The Director of Business Intelligence owns the company’s analytical capabilities and is responsible for generating insights that drive decision‑making across the organization.
- This role goes beyond reporting. It focuses on understanding the business, identifying what matters, and translating data into clear, actionable recommendations—delivered in a visually compelling and intuitive format.
- A key area of focus for this role is marketing performance and demand generation, including understanding the effectiveness of spend, funnel conversion, and return on investment.
- This role also plays a key part in advancing the company’s use of AI and advanced analytics to accelerate insight generation, improve decision‑making, and enhance how the business understands performance.
Key Responsibilities
Insights & Decision Support
- Own the development of insights that inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Identify key drivers of performance across revenue, margin, marketing, and operations.
- Proactively surface trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop new frameworks and approaches to analyze the business.
- Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.
Marketing Analytics & Performance
- Own analysis of marketing effectiveness across channels.
- Evaluate and improve key metrics including CPL, ROAS, and funnel conversion rates.
- Identify opportunities to optimize marketing spend and improve demand generation efficiency.
- Partner with marketing and leadership to guide allocation decisions and strategy.
- Develop frameworks to measure and compare performance across markets, channels, and time.
Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Own the company’s analytical environment, focused on enabling insight generation.
- Ensure data is structured to support flexible, meaningful analysis.
- Continuously refine metrics and definitions to better reflect business performance.
- Ensure alignment across teams on key performance indicators.
Visual Storytelling & Executive Communication
- Own the preparation of executive‑level insights and presentations.
- Present analyses in a clear, structured, and visually compelling manner.
- Design dashboards and materials that highlight key takeaways, not just data.
- Ensure outputs are intuitive, easy to interpret, and focused on decision‑making.
- Translate complex analyses into concise, executive‑ready narratives.
FP&A Partnership
- Partner with finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Provide deep analytical support on variances, trends, and key initiatives.
- Connect operational metrics to financial outcomes.
- Support scenario analysis and decision modeling.
Power BI & Data Modeling
- Own the Power BI environment, including data models, measures, and performance optimization.
- Design scalable data models that enable advanced analysis.
- Develop advanced DAX calculations and analytical logic.
- Ensure dashboards are performant, user‑friendly, and visually effective.
Excel & Advanced Analytics
- Own complex financial and operational modeling in Excel.
- Build flexible, driver‑based models to support analysis and planning.
- Integrate Excel‑based insights into broader analytics and reporting.
Cross‑Functional Partnership
- Work closely with finance, marketing, operations, and leadership teams.
- Support business leaders in understanding performance and making decisions.
- Align data, analysis, and business strategy.
Process Improvement & Data Strategy
- Own the evolution of the company’s analytics capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve how the business measures performance.
- Drive automation and reduce reliance on manual reporting.
- Help shape long‑term data and analytics strategy.
AI & Advanced Analytics
- Own the evaluation and application of AI tools to enhance analytics and decision support.
- Leverage AI to accelerate data analysis, identify patterns, and surface insights.
- Integrate AI capabilities into reporting workflows and analytical processes.
- Identify opportunities to automate insight generation and reduce manual analysis.
- Stay current on emerging AI tools and apply them pragmatically to business problems.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field.
Experience
- 7–10+ years in business intelligence, FP&A, or analytics.
- Strong experience with marketing analytics and performance measurement.
- Strong experience with Power BI in a professional environment.
- Experience supporting executive‑level decision‑making.
- Experience in multi‑entity or multi‑location businesses preferred.
Skills & Capabilities
- Advanced expertise in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, performance optimization).
- Advanced Excel skills (modeling, analysis, dynamic reporting).
- Strong understanding of marketing performance metrics and funnel analytics.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of business drivers.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
- Strong presentation and data visualization skills.
- Ability to communicate insights in a clear, concise, and visually compelling way.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to support analytics, modeling, or reporting workflows.
