Onsite Full Time Business Development & Strategy

Director of Business Development — Northern California / Bay Area - 140k -180k Base Salary + Bonus Incentives - Fast Track to VP Leadership

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established national leader in exterior restoration and building envelope services, with decades of experience helping condominium communities and property managers protect the long-term value of their buildings. The firm has built a strong foothold in the Northern California Bay Area, anchored by a highly visible, large-scale flagship project, and is now looking for an elite business development leader to drive expansion across the region.

This is a fast-tracked leadership succession opportunity. The mandate is twofold: dominate the California market for the next 1-3 years, then build the regional playbook, hire and train your successor locally, and ascend into a national business development leadership role.

What You'll Do

  • Own Pipeline Growth: Take full ownership of Bay Area expansion — systematically securing large-scale planning engagements (averaging 200+ unit condominium communities) needed to fuel the firm's project management teams.
  • Build the Trust Network: Establish high-level, direct referral relationships with regional leaders at top property management firms, positioning the company as the go-to partner for mitigating long-term liability risk.
  • Leverage Active Job Sites as Showrooms: Partner closely with the local Bay Area operations team to organize and lead guided site tours that demonstrate the scale and quality of the firm's execution to prospective clients.
  • Navigate Complex Sales Cycles: Manage multi-stakeholder deals from initial pitch through a collaborative 12-18 month engagement process, building consensus across board members and property management stakeholders.
  • Educate the Market: Build strategic relationships with trade associations and become a known voice at industry events on structural longevity and capital reserve preservation.
  • Align with Executive Leadership: Work closely with senior leadership on regional strategy, with quarterly travel to corporate headquarters on the East Coast.

What You Bring

  • A proven track record exceeding targets in complex, 7- to 8-figure, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • An established, trusted network within California real estate, property management, or commercial insurance
  • Genuine ambition to build a market, mentor a team, and eventually run a national division — not just close deals
  • Process-driven discipline: strong CRM and pipeline management habits, not reliance on inbound leads
  • Deep industry fluency and real interest in buildings, construction, and condominium community dynamics
  • Autonomy and flexibility to present to condo boards, including evening board meetings and local property walkthroughs

Top-of-market compensation package including competitive base salary, incentive structure, and full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k)).Our client is a well-established national leader in exterior restoration and building envelope services, with decades of experience helping condominium communities and property managers protect the long-term value of their buildings.
