Insight Global is hiring a Director of Accounting for a well-established industrial services organization. This leadership role will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and a team of accounting professionals while serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
- Oversee financial reporting and maintain multiple entities in accordance with GAAP
- Manage month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Present monthly financial results, analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership
- Support budgeting, forecasting, asset management, and internal controls
- Coordinate external audits and work closely with CPA partners
- Oversee job costing, bank reconciliations, tax-related activities, and insurance administration
- Partner with operations and project management teams to review project financial performance
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased operational efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Previous Controller or Accounting Manager experience strongly preferred
- Experience leading and developing accounting teams
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Sage ERP is a plus
- Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
