Director, Mount Pleasant Academy

Job Description

FSRI is looking for a candidate who will provide supervision, support, and guidance to all MPA staff. This role includes emergency crisis intervention/assessment, supervision of all staff clinical and administrative documentation, overseeing the provision of services to MPA clients and their families, managing the therapeutic milieu of the program, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines. The successful candidate will report to the Mount Pleasant Academy Executive Director.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human services (psychology, social work, marriage/family, etc.)
• LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or doctorate in the field of psychology/behavioral health
• 10+ years prior clinical supervisory experience
• Minimum 5 years in a day or inpatient children’s psychiatric hospital, or 7 years in a special education setting
• 5+ years running or supervising an independent program/agency/facility
• Significant experience with program budgeting, fundraising, and grant‑writing
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and auto insurance
• Bilingual/ASL skills compensated by an additional 6% above base pay
• Multilingual skills compensated by an additional 8% above base pay

Physical Requirements

The position requires residential and community visits, and the employee must be trained to use physical crisis intervention techniques (e.g., Handle With Care). The employee must:

• Travel to client residences, community locations and office sites, which may involve walkways, stairs and/or elevators
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Communicate effectively
• Participate in physical crisis intervention with students as needed
