Director, MEMS Engineering

The Director of MEMS Engineering will own and drive the development of next-generation precision timing products. This onsite role combines strategic leadership of a high-performing engineering team with hands‑on technical execution to deliver on a complex corporate roadmap. You will scale the engineering organization, foster a culture of technical innovation, and establish robust development processes.As a key technical leader, you will collaborate closely with executive teams to shape the long‑term technology roadmap. By interfacing with cross‑functional engineering, operations, and external vendors, you will ensure the seamless execution and manufacturability of advanced MEMS devices from design through characterization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a world‑class team of MEMS engineers to solve complex timing and sensor design challenges.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap by collaborating with marketing and executive teams to define next‑generation products.
• Drive the development of new MEMS technologies, enhancing performance, manufacturability, and simulation infrastructure.
• Interface with local and overseas vendors to establish strategic business partnerships.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams in operations and program management to ensure predictable development execution.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience in MEMS or specialty sensor development.
• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related equivalent field.
• Proven track record of building, scaling, and leading high‑performance engineering teams of 5+ engineers.
• Hands‑on technical expertise across MEMS design, fabrication, characterization, and modeling.
• Working knowledge of programming languages, circuits, and metrology equipment.
• C2 English level or higher.
• Hands‑on experience with MEMS Fabrication, MEMS Characterization, MEMS Modeling, Semiconductors, Hardware Engineering.
