The Director, Medical Strategy leads medical strategy for assigned brands and
projects. You operate as the primary resource on the \"Scientific What and Clinical
Why,\" translating disease mechanisms, drug MOAs, and clinical trials into clear,
actionable strategic direction that elevates our work and drives client growth.
This role safeguards scientific integrity while unlocking strategic opportunity. By
owning medical direction and guiding teams, you turn complex science into clarity,
align partners, and raise the standard of thinking across the work. Clients gain a
trusted scientific partner who brings clarity to complexity, helping them navigate data
and evolving standards of care.
What You Will Be Responsible For:
- Own the medical strategy and scientific point of view across assigned brands, ensuring all work is grounded in a clear, differentiated, and clinically sound narrative
- Translate complex clinical data, disease states, and treatment landscapes into actionable insights that inform brand strategy and
- Integrate medical thinking across Strategy, Creative, Media, and Account to ensure a cohesive and high-quality output
- Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of scientific accuracy and align with regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements
- Serve as a trusted scientific partner to clients, guiding discussions and decisions with clarity and confidence
- Mentor and develop junior team members, elevating the overall level of scientific thinking across the agency
- Contribute to new business and organic growth through strong medical POVs
What Experience and Skills Do You Need?
- 7–10+ years of experience in medical strategy, scientific communications, or related roles
- Advanced scientific degree (PhD, MD, PharmD)
- Pharmaceutical experience and strong understanding of clinical data and regulated environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex science into clear, strategic direction
- Deep understanding of clinical research and treatment landscapes (oncology experience preferred)
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence collaboratively
