Director, McKesson Ventures Platform

Role Overview

McKesson Ventures, the strategic corporate venture arm of Fortune 10 healthcare company McKesson, is hiring a Director for its Platform function. McKesson Ventures invests in early- and growth-stage digital health and tech-enabled healthcare services companies (e.g., specialty pharmacy, oncology, ophthalmology, clinical trials, life sciences commercial services). Location flexible across San Francisco CA, Boston MA, Dallas TX, or Columbus OH.

Key Responsibilities

• Bring insights and relationships from the venture ecosystem into McKesson to inform growth strategy and drive strategic partnerships
• Support internal vetting and diligence for new investments and focus areas
• Support portfolio companies post-investment, including developing commercial relationships with McKesson and other customers
• Own insight generation, content production, and stakeholder engagement for assigned segments
• Support portfolio development activities including opportunity identification and deal design input
• Contribute to McKesson Ventures external presence (LinkedIn, web, events)

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in healthcare management consulting, venture capital platform/portfolio development, or a healthcare industry operator/startup environment
• Direct experience in pharma tech, health tech, or tech-enabled healthcare services strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to own end-to-end work product with limited oversight
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

Compensation

Base pay range: $139,500 - $232,500, plus annual bonus/long-term incentive opportunities. Travel up to 15-20%.
