Our client is a globally established financial institution undergoing strategic expansion within the U.S. capital markets space. With an established international presence and a growing footprint in North America, the organization is continuing to invest in its U.S. investment banking and advisory capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to join a growing, entrepreneurial platform at an important stage of its development, working closely with senior leadership to expand its M&A franchise, deepen key client relationships, and contribute to the long-term growth of the business.

What you will achieve in this role:

  • Generate and lead M&A advisory opportunities that support revenue and profitability objectives across priority sectors.

  • Act as a senior advisor to clients on transaction strategy, valuation, structuring, legal considerations, and other complex deal matters.
  • Build, maintain, and expand senior-level client relationships while identifying opportunities for broader strategic advisory and capital markets engagement.
  • Use sector knowledge, market intelligence, competitive activity, and recent transaction trends to shape client strategies and uncover new mandates.
  • Develop thoughtful and commercially practical solutions for sophisticated transaction structures and execution challenges.
  • Partner across internal corporate finance and banking teams, as well as external strategic partners, to deliver an integrated client offering.
  • Communicate recommendations and transaction matters clearly and credibly to senior executives and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership to junior professionals through coaching, delegation, transaction oversight, and the promotion of a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the broader Corporate Finance and M&A Advisory strategy while maintaining strong ethical and professional standards.

What you must bring to this role:

  • 8-12 years of progressive experience in M&A advisory, investment banking, or a closely related corporate finance environment.
  • Demonstrated success originating and executing significant M&A transactions, including a track record of generating advisory revenue.
  • Strong industry or sector expertise with the ability to develop trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of valuation, transaction structuring, deal execution, and the commercial considerations involved in complex M&A engagements.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to guide junior team members and coordinate effectively across functions in a global organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority transactions and client initiatives simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; an MBA and/or CFA designation is considered an asset.
  • FINRA registrations including SIE, Series 7, Series 79, and applicable Series 63 state securities registration.
