The Opportunity
As Director, Human Resources (US), you will lead the HR function across our seven U.S. locations and our remote workforce. You will set the direction for HR in the U.S., lead and develop a team of local HR representatives, and serve as a trusted advisor to site and functional leaders. You will help build a workplace that is safe, productive, and fair for all employees.
What You Will Do
● Promote safe work practices and demonstrate zero tolerance for non-compliance with safe work practices, policies, and regulations.
● Lead, develop, and coach HR representatives for all U.S. locations.
● Serve as the generalist partner to business leaders on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and organizational issues.
● Build and sustain employee development, including talent pipelines and succession planning.
● Own the U.S. HR policy framework and ensure consistent application.
● Act as a change agent, challenging outdated practices and leading HR improvements.
● Direct compliance with employment laws, including FMLA, EEO, wage and hour, leave, and workers' compensation.
● Lead compensation and benefits administration.
● Drive employee satisfaction and development.
● Manage HR risk, investigations, and documentation to protect the company and its employees.
What You Bring
● Demonstrated successful generalist expertise in employee relations, compliance, talent, and compensation.
● Proven ability to lead a team, instill accountability, and execute solutions.
● Strong judgment and communication skills.
● Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field. A graduate degree is a plus.
● 10+ years progressive HR experience, including 5+ years leading multi-site HR teams.
● SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification is a plus.
● Experience in labor relations, including contract negotiation and administration.
● Broad knowledge of, and experience with, manufacturing or industrial operations.
● Ability to travel regularly across U.S. sites (estimated 10%).
