We welcome you to join us in “healing and inspiring the human spirit” and to pivot from a “job” opportunity to an authentic experience!Reporting to the Vice President, Product and Operations, the Director, Health Plan Product Management leads the development and management of IEHP’s Medicare/D-SNP product(s) by overseeing the full product lifecycle and ensuring alignment with strategy, performance metrics, and regulatory requirements. In addition, this individual supports product implementation and other strategic initiatives to meet IEHP’s strategic Medicare/D-SNP membership growth objectives. This position works closely with division and department leaders in the design of products, relying on industry research, historical product performance, feedback from key IEHP stakeholders, and market trends.  The Director, Health Plan Product Management ensures products are aligned with IEHP’s Mission, Core Values, and Strategic Priorities and are in adherence with Federal and State regulations, contractual and licensing requirements, health plan accreditation, and the Plan’s functional departments business requirements.Commitment to Quality: The IEHP Team is committed to incorporate IEHP’s Quality Program goals including, but not limited to, HEDIS, CAHPS, and NCQA Accreditation.

Key Responsibilities

Apply in-depth knowledge of product benefit/coverage and regulatory requirements for Medicare/D-SNP productsLead the organization through the ideation, planning, and implementation phases of new or enhanced benefits, products, programs, or pilotsProvide research and analysis to IEHP’s Executives and leaders in making decisions regarding the strategic direction of Medicare/D-SNP productsDevelop, design, and manage product life cycle activities and specific strategic initiativesDevelop product roadmap, defining scope and prioritization for execution. Collaborate with key stakeholders in a matrixed environment and work cross functionally on executionIdentify potential execution risks, manage project changes, and scope as necessary to meet business objectives. Recommend appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.  Drive changes to ensure product integrity, service excellence, and efficiencyLeads the annual product launch by providing comprehensive product expertise to internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include partnering with sales, marketing, growth, and retention teams; coordinating with delegated vendors and frontline staff; delivering benefit training; explaining benefit design; and overseeing the development and distribution of member materials. This role also directs the creation of sales and marketing collateral, program talking points, product education, and configuration and benefit display requirementsDevelop training materials and conduct annual and ongoing product training as requiredWork with appropriate divisions and departments for all product modifications and updates, as Medicare/D-SNP product benefits and plan designs may change each year due to regulatory requirements and/or business driven changesCultivate and maintain positive working relationships at all levels of the organization to ensure positive collaboration to identify, assess, and prioritize upstream and downstream impacts of the Medicare/D-SNP product initiatives throughout the organizationBuild and oversee product manager team, provide training and skills development to support the product strategy and growth strategiesHire, train, and manage support staff, while monitoring and evaluating outcomes. Conduct performance reviews of each team member within IEHP guidelinesPerform any other duties as required to ensure Health Plan operations and department business needs are successful


Qualifications

Education & Requirement A minimum of eight (8) years of experience leading health benefit plan development / implementationExperience with health plan operationsExperience working within a matrix structure to deliver resultsProduct management, strategic planning, and project management experience with demonstrated success of launching products via product lifecycle (concept ideation through launch) while leading cross functional collaborative teamsAdditional experience working with Covered California products preferredBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution requiredIn lieu of the required degree, a minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant work experience is required for this position. This experience is in addition to the minimum years listed in the Experience Requirements aboveMaster’s degree from an accredited institution preferredKey Qualifications Valid California Driver’s License preferredAdvanced knowledge of:Medicare Advantage, D-SNP, and other government programs, health plans development, management, and implementation principles and practicesHealth plan operations and regulatory and compliance requirements for Medicare Advantage & D-SNP, with a strong working knowledge of Covered California and commercial productsAll IEHP’s current productsCompetitive landscape to develop market strategiesProduct development life cycle (PDLC) disciplineExcellent interpersonal and motivational skillExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenSkilled at Microsoft Office programs including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and ProjectProven ability to:Collect, analyze and recommend solutions using data and experience driven decisionsWork in a complex, rapidly evolving environment which requires high-level initiativeMake quick adjustments to project deadlines or assignmentsWork independently and collaboratively within a team environmentEffectively prioritize and manage multiple projects with competing deadlinesApply knowledge and guide selfInteract effectively at all levels of the organizationNegotiate and resolve complex and sensitive issues with diplomacy and persuasivenessStart your journey towards a thriving future with IEHP and apply TODAY!


Work Model Location

This position is on a hybrid work schedule. (Monday & Friday - remote, Tuesday – Thursday onsite in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.)


Pay Range


USD $169,312.00 - USD $232,793.60 /Yr.
