Executive Role Overview
The Director, Center of Automation is responsible for defining, building, and scaling TurnPoint’s enterprise-wide automation strategy. This leader will establish and oversee a formal Center of Automation (CoA) that drives operational efficiency, process standardization, and productivity across all brands and shared services.
This role owns the end-to-end automation vision —from opportunity identification and process excellence through automation delivery, governance, and long-term sustainment. The Director will partner closely with executive leadership, brand operators, IT, and shared services to embed automation as a core capability across the organization, with ServiceTitan at the center of TurnPoint’s operating model .
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Automation Strategy & Governance
- Define and execute TurnPoint’s multi-year automation strategy and roadmap
- Establish enterprise-wide governance for automation intake, prioritization, and deployment
- Create standardized frameworks to assess automation opportunities by ROI, risk, and scalability
- Own executive-level reporting on automation value, performance, and adoption
Center of Automation Leadership
- Lead the Center of Automation team, including internal resources and partners
- Define operating models, roles, and responsibilities for automation delivery and support
- Establish best practices for automation lifecycle management
- Ensure scalability, resilience, and long-term sustainability of the automation ecosystem
- Own strategic relationships with automation implementation partners
- Negotiate contracts, define SLAs, and manage performance accountability
- Ensure high-quality delivery, knowledge transfer, and capability uplift
- Balance vendor leverage with internal skill development
Operational Excellence & Process Standardization
- Lead enterprise process excellence initiatives to prepare workflows for automation
- Drive cross-brand standardization using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Develop playbooks and standards to enable repeatable, high-quality execution
- Partner with leadership to drive adoption through structured change management
- Drive ServiceTitan process strategy in alignment with automation initiatives and operational imperatives
- Ensure consistent configuration, data standards, and usage across all brands
- Prioritize high-impact ServiceTitan capabilities to unlock automation value
- Partner with brand and shared service leaders to maximize platform ROI
Production Support & Capacity Planning
- Design and oversee scalable support and incident management models
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and proactive issue resolution frameworks
- Anticipate automation growth and ensure infrastructure readiness
- Partner with the EPMO to prevent operational capacity constraints
- Establish governance and guardrails for citizen development initiatives
- Enable non-technical teams to build simple automations using Microsoft tools
- Promote automation literacy and best practices across the enterprise
Required Qualifications
Automation & Technology Leadership
- 7–10+ years of experience in automation, digital transformation, or process excellence
- Deep hands-on experience with RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism)
- Experience with APIs, enterprise integrations, and data management
- Strong understanding of cloud-based automation architectures and security
Process & Transformation Leadership
- Proven success leading large-scale process transformation initiatives
- Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Ability to translate process improvements into enterprise-level financial impact
- Demonstrated success managing complex vendor relationships and contracts
- Experience influencing executive stakeholders and cross-functional leaders
- Strong governance, prioritization, and decision-making capabilities
Industry & Platform Expertise
- Experience in trades services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical strongly preferred)
- Working knowledge of ServiceTitan or similar field service platforms
- Understanding of technician workflows, dispatch, and service operations
- Experience operating within decentralized, multi-brand environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Advanced certifications in automation or process improvement
- Experience in private equity–backed or high-growth organizations
- Prior experience building a Center of Excellence or shared services organization
