Director, Card Risk ManagementAs a Director in Capital One's Card Risk organization, you will apply your leadership and analytical skills to our highest profile Risk Management projects. You will lead a team of Vertical Risk Managers and Risk Specialists while acting as a thought leader working across the enterprise to develop and implement cutting edge Risk solutions to ensure Capital One's continued stability and success. Directors in Capital One's Risk Management organization partner with Executives and lines of business to drive organizational change in order to better manage the Company's Risk in an open, collaborative environment where new ideas and solutions are both welcomed and rewarded.Directors in Risk Management at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure across lines of business and the opportunity to work with Executives to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.Responsibilities:Work with business partners to validate risk processes impacting the company's bottom lineConsult with Executives to determine interaction model with Lines of Business to create positive relationshipsDrive finalization of risk category and subcategory frameworkPerform critical assessments on risk categories to mitigate risk to the companyPerform extensive gap assessments and create recommendations to ensure smart business decisionsUse analytical skills to conduct Risk Process Improvement, Process Design & Process ExcellenceLarge scale Process Management/GovernanceWork with dynamic teams on Departmental Process Management & ExecutionBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or Military experienceAt least 7 years of experience working in risk management or financial servicesAt least 5 years of program management experienceAt least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clientsAt least 5 years of people management experiencePreferred Qualifications:Masters Degree7+ years of Financial Services risk management experience7+ years of experience in Project or Process Management5+ years of internal strategy or management consulting experience leading cross functional financial services projects and programs7+ years of people management experienceAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.McLean, VA: $206,000 - $235,100 for Director, Risk ManagementRichmond, VA: $187,300 - $213,700 for Director, Risk ManagementCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
