Behavioral Medicine Program Coordinator
The basic functions of this position are the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of all aspects of the Behavioral Medicine program of the Family Medicine Residency. Primary position responsibilities include:
- Development, implementation, and evaluation of a longitudinal Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry curriculum.
- Development, implementation, evaluation of Ethics curriculum appropriate for primary care.
- Assist with the recruitment and selection of applicants to the residency program.
- Develop and present Behavioral Medicine, Psychiatry, and Ethics conferences based on core topics in the curriculum; arrange for guest speakers to teach cited topics in curriculum requiring specific areas of expertise.
- Provide resources for remedial programming for individuals with special needs identified by faculty.
- Represent the program at local, state and national meetings of professional colleagues in order to incorporate new development into the residency program.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Required: Master’s Degree in Clinical Training or related area Preferred: Doctoral Degree in related area
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: 3 years clinical counseling Preferred: None
License, Registry or Certification: Required: Current NJ license for clinical activities (LCSW, or Psychologist) OR Professional Marriage/Family Counselor OR certified in marriage and family therapy OR related certification. Preferred: None
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: Counseling services with family systems or related fields
