Director, Applied AI & Strategy

We are seeking a Director who will architect an internal productivity revolution. Partnering across business functions and technology, the role analyzes complex workflows, identifies opportunities for agentic AI, and designs and implements interventions that enable people to focus on higher‑value work.

Responsibilities

  • Hands‑on AI orchestration, including rapid prototyping of agentic solutions that improve existing workflows.
  • Build and deploy production‑grade AI agents with guardrails, evaluations, and observability.
  • Integrate agents with enterprise resources via MCP and APIs, including legacy systems.
  • Collaborate with Legal & Business Affairs and Cyber Security to ensure governance and compliance.
  • Define and track productivity & ROI metrics such as hours reclaimed, cost savings, and efficiency gains.
  • Maintain composability of toolsets to support future agility.
  • Monitor AI developments relevant to the media industry and provide leadership with actionable frameworks (e.g., Buy, Build, Ignore).
  • Translate high‑level vision into a tactical technical roadmap, prioritizing high‑ROI workstreams.
  • Manage scope and stakeholder expectations to move projects from proof‑of‑concept to production‑ready.
  • Perform technical and functional audits of emerging AI tools that align with media workflows.
  • Create budgets in high‑ambiguity environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated practical experience.
  • 8+ years in a technical function (e.g., Solutions Architecture, Digital Transformation, Technical Operations) with a proven track record of delivering enterprise‑grade solutions and advanced workflow integration.
  • Expertise in architecting logic across complex SaaS ecosystems beyond basic automation.
  • 2+ years hands‑on with large language models for production‑ready agents, including advanced prompting, multi‑agent orchestration, and RAG frameworks.
  • 3+ years managing complex stakeholder relationships and translating strategy into tactical execution plans.
  • Proficiency in rapid prototyping using AI‑augmented development tools (e.g., Cursor, Replit, Claude).
  • Experience implementing RAG architectures at scale or fine‑tuning large language models.
  • Certifications in AI/ML technologies and cloud platforms are an advantage.
  • Background in statistical modeling or mathematics is a plus.

Compensation

Annual pay range: $188,034 to $220,000. Annual incentive target: 17.5%. Compensation includes healthcare coverage, 401(k) matching, and other benefits.
