Position: Direct Support Professional (DSP) Locations: Wakefield, Reading, Melrose, Saugus, Lynn (MA) Pay rate: $18 - $21 per hour based on the program and certifications (Weekend shifts receive an additional $2 per hour) Hours: 20 – 30 hours per week, as well as relief (per diem) Shifts: Day, Evening (most shifts require either a Saturday or a Sunday) Benefits of Working for us!Incremental Pay increases based on years of service, pending performance evaluations3 weeks' vacation, 1 week sick time, and 12 holidays for new full-time employeesLow-cost benefit plans – Medical & dental insurance, employer-paid life insurance, and long-term disability coverageTuition reimbursement eligibility after 90 days of employmentSummary & Responsibilities The Direct Support Professional - an integral role in our Residential Services – is responsible for providing direct care, and teaching life and social skills to Individuals with developmental disabilities within their home and in their communities.Help Individuals attain independence in all aspects of daily living (cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.)Assist the Individuals in the program to develop positive social skills, attitudes, and behaviors appropriate to community livingMaintain confidentiality of all information relating to Individuals within our residential homesProvide personal care and assistance to individuals consistent with individual needs as they strive to reach their goalsQualificationsMAP certification highly preferred; MAP training offeredHigh School diploma or equivalentAt least 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities is preferredA passion and dedication to supporting our people is a mustValid driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving recordMust pass company background and reference checks
